Privacy Policy
How PartyLine Collective handles information across our marketing website and the PartyLine app. This is an operational draft for review — not legal advice.
1. Who we are
PartyLine Collective ([Legal entity name — placeholder for legal review]) operates the PartyLine marketing website at https://partylinecollective.com and the separate PartyLine app. Our project contact is hello@partylinecollective.com.
- Legal entity: [Legal entity name — placeholder for legal review]
- ABN: [ABN — placeholder for legal review]
- Address: [Registered or service address — placeholder for legal review]
- Privacy contact: hello@partylinecollective.com
2. Scope
This policy applies to information collected through the PartyLine Collective marketing website and the PartyLine app (accounts, profiles, events, opportunities, enquiries, booking workflows and related features). The website and app are related but separate products — some processing happens only in the app.
3. What data we collect on the website
The marketing website is mostly informational. We may collect:
- Technical and server logs — IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, pages viewed and timestamps through our hosting provider
- Build-time public data — at deploy time, the website may fetch public event and scene index previews from the PartyLine app API to display listings snapshots. This does not create a user account on the website
- Email contact — if you email us via mailto links on the contact page, your message is handled through your email provider; we receive what you choose to send
- Cookie and analytics choices — your consent preference for optional analytics cookies, stored locally in your browser when you respond to our cookie banner
- Map tile requests — on the events directory, an interactive map may send network requests to third-party map tile providers (see below)
The marketing website does not host account sign-in forms or store enquiry submissions directly.
4. What data we collect in the app
When you use the PartyLine app, we may collect:
- Account credentials and authentication data (email, password hash, OAuth identifiers)
- Profile and listing content you create or edit
- Event and opportunity submissions
- Enquiry and booking messages you send or receive
- In-app feedback you submit
- First-party usage analytics events (see below)
- Payment-related metadata where deposit or payment features are enabled
- Technical data such as IP address and device/browser information in server logs
5. Account and profile data
When you create an account, we collect information needed to authenticate you and operate your profile, such as your email address, display name and profile fields you choose to provide (bio, location, links, images, role/type and similar listing details).
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive information from that provider according to your settings with them (such as name and email). Their privacy policies also apply to that sign-in flow.
6. Event submission data
When you submit an event, we collect the details you provide — for example title, date, location, description, lineup, images, ticket links and related metadata. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to publish that information.
7. Enquiries, messages and feedback
- Enquiries — when you send an enquiry to a profile owner, we process your name, account email, message and related listing context so the recipient can respond
- Booking messages — where booking workflows are enabled, messages and status updates in a booking thread may be stored to operate that workflow
- Feedback — in-app feedback may include your message, account context and the page URL you were on
- Email to us — messages sent to hello@partylinecollective.com are used to respond and improve the platform
8. Public profiles, events and user-generated content
Profiles, events, opportunities and related content you choose to publish may be publicly visible on the PartyLine app and may appear in marketing previews, search results or third-party indexes. Public content is intended for discovery — do not publish private information you do not want to be visible.
PartyLine does not guarantee that public listings are complete, current or accurate. Content is submitted by users and may change or be removed.
9. Analytics, cookies and advertising
We use essential operation of the site/app and, with your consent on the marketing website, optional analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our pages.
- Essential/local storage — the website may store your cookie consent choice. The app may use local storage for session helpers and first-party analytics deduplication
- Analytics cookies (website) — only loaded if you accept analytics in our cookie banner and where tracking is enabled for that environment
- Advertising/remarketing — not used on the marketing website at this time. If we introduce advertising cookies later, we will update this policy and request consent where required
10. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (after consent)
On the marketing website, optional analytics may be delivered through Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4). These tools are configured to load only after you accept analytics cookies. Before consent, analytics storage defaults to denied under Google Consent Mode.
GA4 may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser characteristics and interactions with key calls-to-action. We configure initial tracking to focus on basic page and CTA events — not user names, email addresses or profile content.
Google's processing is subject to Google's terms and privacy policies. You can learn more about Google Analytics data practices on Google's website.
11. App first-party analytics (Supabase)
The PartyLine app records limited first-party analytics events in our database (via Supabase) to understand product usage during alpha — for example profile views, event views and ticket link clicks. These events may include an anonymous session identifier stored in your browser, optional signed-in user ID, listing/event identifiers, source path and timestamp.
This first-party analytics is separate from Google Analytics on the marketing website and is not controlled by the website cookie banner. We describe it here because app users may read this policy.
12. Map tiles and third-party network requests
The events directory map loads map tiles from third-party providers (including CARTO and OpenStreetMap-related services). When the map is displayed, your browser sends requests that may include your IP address and technical information to those providers. These requests are used to render the map and are not used by PartyLine to identify you personally.
13. Payments and deposits (where enabled)
Where booking or deposit features are enabled, payment processing may be provided by Stripe. PartyLine may receive payment status, amounts, currency, Stripe identifiers and related metadata needed to operate the workflow. Card details are collected by Stripe, not stored by PartyLine on our servers.
Payment and deposit features may be limited, in testing or available only to some users during alpha. Deposit terms, refunds and cancellations depend on the agreement between the parties and any in-product flow that applies. Funds flow through Stripe according to the enabled payout model — PartyLine is not a bank or payment custodian for booking fees.
14. Third-party service providers
We use service providers to operate PartyLine, including:
- Supabase — authentication, database and backend infrastructure ([Supabase region — placeholder for legal review])
- Vercel — hosting and delivery for the marketing website (and app hosting where applicable)
- Stripe — payment and Connect onboarding, where payment features are enabled
- Google Analytics / Tag Manager — optional website analytics, where enabled and consented
- Google / Apple — OAuth sign-in, where you choose those options
- CARTO / OpenStreetMap — map tile delivery on the events directory
- External ticketing and social platforms — links added by users to events and profiles; those services process data under their own policies when you visit them
We require providers to handle data only as needed to provide their services, but their own terms and privacy policies also apply.
15. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to operate PartyLine, comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce our terms. During alpha, specific retention periods are still being finalised — the following are practical placeholders pending legal review:
- Account and profile data — while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion requests are processed
- Public listings and events — until removed by you or us, or as needed for platform integrity
- Enquiry and booking messages — while the workflow is active and as needed for support and dispute handling
- Analytics events — limited retention for product measurement (exact period to be confirmed)
- Server logs — short-term operational retention through hosting providers
- Payment records — as required for accounting, tax and payment partner obligations where payments are enabled
You may request deletion or correction — see Your rights below.
16. User rights and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain processing of your personal information, and to object to some uses or lodge a complaint with a regulator.
We handle privacy requests in good faith for users in Australia and, where applicable, for international visitors — without claiming full compliance with any specific overseas regime unless separately confirmed in writing.
To make a request, email hello@partylinecollective.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. You can update much of your profile information directly in the app.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also have additional rights under local law. Contact us using the details above and we will respond reasonably — this policy is not a statement of full GDPR/UK GDPR compliance.
17. International transfers
PartyLine is based in Australia. Our service providers may process data in Australia and other countries (including the United States) where their infrastructure is located. Where required, we take steps intended to protect information transferred internationally — details to be confirmed with legal review as the platform matures.
18. Children and minimum age
PartyLine is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (placeholder — confirm with legal review). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact hello@partylinecollective.com.
Optional communications
We may send operational messages about your account, submissions or enquiries. Marketing or newsletter emails, if introduced, will be sent only with your opt-in consent where required. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in those messages.
19. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PartyLine develops. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy, except where further consent is required by law.
