In a world that’s getting bigger, louder, more streamlined, and divided, we’re stripping it back to the roots – to curiosity, creativity, and community.

Ever wondered what it would be like to play and hear your tunes on a heavyweight DIY Sound System?
At SOUND.LAB, we open the decks for the first two hours to new artists eager to find their sound on a real DIY Sound System, supported by our Red Earth crew. We also invite experienced Djs and producers to step outside their comfort zones and explore new sounds – because that’s where the real magic happens.

No headliners. No hype. No scene politics. No high entry fee that breaks your bank account & no dress code!
Just local, raw, underground talent and the shared joy of sound and unity – creating fertile ground for our scene to grow.
This event is a safer space for all, a place where everyone can explore, create, and shine, no matter their background, experience level, or identity.
We especially welcome female identifying & LGBTQIA+ artists, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds to play, reflecting the true heart of our scene: community-powered, creative, diverse and inclusive.

Our aim: Empowering local talent & making Sound System culture accessible & enjoyable for all!
Artists performing on the sound will receive a pre-event sound check and Q&A session before doors open – helping everyone feel confident and comfortable stepping up to the rig and decks.

If you play, MC, or produce music inspired by sound system culture – from reggae & dub to jungle, cumbia to hip hop and beyond – reach out and get involved.

We’re here to amplify emerging voices, celebrate local heroes, and keep the DIY spirit alive.
